How Businesses Are Rethinking Care in the Workplace
Over the past few months, I’ve noticed a shift in the conversations I’ve been having with clients, partners, and organisations across a range of industries.
There’s a growing awareness that while many businesses have wellbeing programmes, policies, and support systems in place — there’s still something missing.
Not because these initiatives aren’t valuable — they absolutely are — but because there can sometimes be a gap between intention and action.
Between saying “we care” and showing it in a way that feels genuinely human.
Where the gap sits
In reality, some of the moments that matter most in a workplace aren’t always covered by structured programmes.
Moments like:
- When someone is off work due to illness or injury
- When a team member is experiencing burnout or overwhelm
- When someone is navigating a personal loss or difficult time
- When a colleague just needs to feel supported, seen, and thought of
These are the moments where small, thoughtful gestures can have the biggest impact — yet they’re often the hardest to navigate as an organisation.
From policy to people
What I’m seeing more of now is a shift towards organisations wanting to support their people in a more personal and tangible way.
Not replacing existing wellbeing strategies — but complementing them.
Adding something that feels:
- considered
- human
- and genuinely supportive
Because sometimes, it’s not about a programme or a process.
It’s about creating a moment of care.
A more tangible layer of support
This is where we’ve been evolving Crowe & Co.
Alongside our corporate gifting work, we’ve developed a Care & Support range designed specifically for these moments — whether that’s recovery, rest, or simply letting someone know they’re being thought of.
This includes:
- thoughtfully curated gift boxes
- individual wellbeing products such as journals and calming items
- flexible options that can be tailored to different teams, situations, or initiatives
It’s not about the product itself — it’s about what it represents.
A small but meaningful way to support someone when they need it most.

Supporting people, and giving back
Another part of this evolution has been a focus on aligning with charitable giving.
We’re increasingly exploring ways for organisations to not only support their own people, but also contribute more broadly — creating a ripple effect of care beyond the workplace.
Because meaningful support doesn’t stop at the individual — it can extend into the wider community as well.
Looking ahead
Workplace wellbeing is continuing to evolve, and it’s encouraging to see more organisations asking:
How can we do this better?
How can we show up more meaningfully for our people?
There’s no one-size-fits-all answer — but often, it’s the small, thoughtful touches that make the biggest difference.
If your organisation is thinking about how to better support your people — whether through wellbeing initiatives, recovery support, or simply creating more meaningful moments — I’d love to connect.
Sherry 💛
